Rear scraping/clicking noise when turning
Hey guys,
I am new to this forum and just created an account to see if anyone can help me. I have a 2009 audi a4 quattro with 82xxx miles, last week i got an oil change and tire rotation at the dealer. A couple days later I noticed a scraping/clicking noise from the rear end when turning both left and right but it only happens if i take a sharp turn and while accelerating. If i make a slow turn it does not make the noise, i took the car back to the dealer and they diagnosed it with a bad rear differential bearing. I am not sure if this is actually the problem, I bought the car with 71xxx miles and never had this issue after the oil change and tire rotation. One thing I can say is that this is the first tire rotation ive had since I bought the car. The dealer quoted me $5k to fix this, if anyone has any ideas on what this could be I would greatly appreciate it.
