Encountered a few bugs here and there - the most "serious" one is that Virtual Cockpit has stopped using the Google Earth view. In a driving session, it defaults to the colored maps, when I check the settings, Google Earth is off, but turning it back on does not change the maps display method. Then when I stop the engine and turn off the car, it reverts to "off" next session. Annoying but not fatal.

Car also gets confused from time to time about whether an iPhone is connected or not.

Disney Radio doesn't load (Pandora etc do). That's it so far, but I'm expecting plenty more. Love to find a fix for the Google Earth thing.

 

Carplay and MMI are buggy for sure. They need updates to crash multiple bugs.

 

Fix for google earth was actually the dealer forgetting to deactivate "Dealer Mode" - a thirty second call with Audi fixed it. Still seeing lots of weird little bugs, and yesterday I tried to update my maps using their SD card instructions and discovered you cannot do it on PC or Mac without first installing Java runtime environment. Not a big deal for me, since I work in the tech industry, but it could be a showstopper for even mildly techy folks. Seems like a very weird choice, and is not adequately documented.
