Calling all experts! My 2009 Audi A3 2.0T with 80k miles has metal shavings in the oil pickup. With only pulling out the oil pan, the initial mechanic told me that I likely need a new motor. I see lots of info on A4s with this issue, but no A3 2.0 gas. Any ideas or anyone else out there that's seen this? There's more too the story. 1.5 weeks before this issue, I had the oil pan replaced by an Audi dealer to fix an issue with the drain plug. I drove the car 300 miles after the service before the oil pressure light came on (red blinking oil can). The oil pressure light came on shortly after I dropped the car into sport mode going up a steep highway incline. The car kept running but did not have normal acceleration. The light came on. We pulled over. No oil on the ground. Oil level was OK. We drove the car an extra 4 miles with the oil pressure light blinking. Car sounded fine and ran as normal although we did not exceed 35 mph. Any ideas???
