Default APR S4 Dreaming...

I wanted a fast, classy car and after much searching I settled on a 2000 S4, 6spd with 198,000kms. Only problem? I discovered that it wasn’t a fast car stock… maybe to some, but not to me. So now I’m starting to put together what I want to do to it so far this is what I have planned for it:

APR snub mount 35.00$ (engine mount)
APR R1 Diverter Valves $143.00
APR Stage 2 Daily Clutch $649.00
APR Fly wheel 699.00 (OR Fidanza flywheel 498.00 from Andyautosports.com)
APR Gauge pod $107.00
APR Stage 1 w/t 4 programs $599.00
APR Downpipe with Catpipes and testpipes $1475
APR Intercooler $1,124.00
APR Bipipe kit $314.00

H&R sway bar front 32mm $312.00
H&R sway bar rear 21mm $236.00
H&R Coil Overs $1600.00

B&M Short Shifter $252.00

Now obviously I’m not rich so I cant go out and do this all at once, so my priorities will be the:

APR Downpipe with Catpipes and testpipes
APR R1 Diverter Valves
APR Intercooler
APR Bi pipe kit
And than the Stage 2 APR ECU
Followed by
APR Stage 2 Daily Clutch
Etc etc etc

So does anyone here have any experience with the APR brand? I love everything I’ve read about them so far, but that’s different than hearing someones first hand account. Also what would be the approximate cost from a shop to have the priority list installed, I’m a **** mechanic lmao.

Dont go apr! go unitronic! I have my audi tuned by them and they are amazing! they get just as much gain as apr maybe a little more! the only extras you get from apr is the ability to change programs whenever you want to, and also shitty tech support! i had apr before but went to unitronic and they have been amazing! and to be honest you dont need the different programs i never changed mine from the 91 octane chip anyways
hope this helps!

apr has burned me over the past few years. i wouldnt recommend them at all. unitronic is a lot better though i have a few friends that feel that the difference is negligible.

I've run the APR Flash 1+ and was really happy with the results, also have the Carbonio air intake and my turbo lag is essentially non existent. I'm new to the forum and I've only had my A4 for a year. I'm in the Army and have short windows to work on my B6. I bought it for the fact that I wanted a car that I could learn inside and out and it has proved to be that. I have a lot of plans left to do, but haven't ever ran across Unitronic so I'm about to check it out now. Just wanted to post and say thanks for the heads up. I'm not unhappy with my APR mods at all thus far however.

I also have the APR Stage 1+ and i'm fairly happy with it. To me the turbo lag isnt the best. Maybe your new intake helped reduce that. I was looking into getting that also to reduce turbo lag more.
