1994 Cabriolet Window and Radio Issues
I was just gifted by a family member a 1994 Audi Cabriolet. Runs great and in nice shape but a couple of things aren't working.
1. The radio, is the Gamma version and will not even turn on. The antenna is also not working and stuck in the 1/2 up position
2. The 4 power window switches on the driver door. The "all window" switch on center console works all the windows, and the passenger switch works it's window but the 4 on the drivers side don't do anything.
Any ideas or tips on things to check ( fuses, relay, etc) or parts that may need to be replaced would be great.
Thanks

First order of business is checking the fuses. Hopefully you'll have the Owners Manual and it will have the fuse panel diagrams in it. This might fix the radio issue.
Since the windows do work, I'd suspect the switches. The switches can get dirty inside and stop working. First thing is to check the connector to the switches to make sure it is getting power. I'm not sure which terminal on the connector it would be but a simple test light would be safe to test all of them until you got a light (or not).. If you don't get a confirmation that power is getting to it, it's probably a fuse. Some of the switches are made to where you can pop them apart and clean them out being careful not to break or loose any small parts. Some have little spring-loaded ***** that can get away. Clean all the contacts and re-lube it all with silicone dielectric grease.
