Default Any one having this problem?

I have a B3 cabriolet and am having a problem with air flow in the dash. I get hot air out of the defroster, cold air out the dash vents and warm air out the floor vents. What do I look for and what do I do to fix it? Any help would be of great help!

Fixed the problem. The door that swings inside the heater box has holes made into it and then covered up with foam backing. I covered the door with some plastic sheeting and it fixed the problem. By the way, while you are there replace the heater core.

I read up on someone having a similar problem on a 5000. I've been researching various older model Quattros and am considering a 5000 CS Quattro in my area. Turbo with AWD and a 5-speed sound like a fun combination to me.

my 85 cgt always blew "ambient" air out of the the 2 middle vents. the 2 side vents blow the actuall "climate controlled" air. i just thought this was how it was built being the 2 middle vents are just that- vents.
