Default Help with Headlights and Turn signals on 87 4000s

My rear turn signals work, but they are fast. the front turn signals do not work. the headlights werent working, so the dumbass before me put a toggle switch under the hood for the headlights. could this have something to do with the turn signal relay? any and all help is appreciated.

Start looking for a bad ground at the front -

Then get a manual with a wiring diagram - looks like you have a bit of work ahead of you.

I have the Bentley and Hayes Repair manual for Audi 4000, 4000S, and 4000CS that I'd consider selling

Sounds like the problem is your switch in the steering column. I'm starting to have the same problem (no low beams, only the high beams for headlights) and my left turn signal is starting to spazz out. I know for a fact my switch is going. If you're on a budget, you could pull the switch and clean it/try to fix it. Otherwise, I think Force 5 has them for about 20 bucks.
