A5 Cabriolet 2.0tdi - Poor fuel economy help : 36mpg
|
Has anybody experienced poor fuel economy with the 2.0 tdi engine. I am getting between 36 and 37 mpg. (with Aircon off, conservative driving, motorway and dual carriage way, 45 mile daily roundtrip). Car has done 5k miles and is 6 months old. Audi say nothing is wrong with it and have given me flannel about driving style and cold weather etc. This too me seems way off. My friend in a 3.0tdi quattro gets 40mpg and my 11yr old 1.9 a4 gave me 44mpg on the same journey for years. What could be wrong. Can anybody recommend an independant fuel expert/company to diagnose, otherwise I am into legal with audi over not fit for purpose, want money back etc. Car was bought second hand from a dealership, so don't know what happened in first 3k miles. Have filled the tank a few times and tripped the distance to check it is not the computer out. Basically getting 465 miles out of last three tank refills.
