Default Oil pressure problem

I may have posted this before in the wrong forum:
My 2003 Audi 4 Quattro's Display shows the Oil Light and asks to check oil level. The oil level was checked and it's OK. The weird thing is that the digital clock is all screwed up and keeps showing different times -- and can't be adjusted. Does this sound like it might be a sensor problem vs. a real oil pressure problem? Thanks for any help on this? My mechanic is 12 miles away; what do you think about driving the car 12 miles with this issue. Thanks to all who can help with this.

does the clock change every time you turn the vehicle off and then on or does it change randomly whenever it wants?

Exactly right -- it doesn't seem to have a rhyme or reason for its display.

well if it changes randomly while the vehicle is on or goes at the wrong pace its a wiring issue. if you it resets to 12am everytime the car is turned off and then on. then it could be a bad fuse.

Thanks again... could this also address the "oil-light" problem?

Mmm I wouldn't think so. Because it wouldn't normally just make two things malfunction like that especially considering how far apart their function is to the over all car. faulty wiring with sensor lights would cause them all to not work or work speratically
