05 A6 dead MMI help Please...
So my MMI is completely dead. Well right now The screen is dead and the controls in the center console don't light up at all. I am lost at what to look for or how to confirm what is causing it.
The cd changer lights flash a few times when I put the key in along with the fiber cable at each device. I have 12 volts at the controls and 4.7 volts. I have tried bypassing the bluetooth module and the cd changer with a most loop.
I have replaced the bluetooth module with a used one I got as it was severely corroded from a water leak in the car. I also had to replace the connector for it. I confirmed 12 volts there as well.
I also took the center console controls completely apart to make sure nothing was spilled in it and its clean as a whistle.
I want to add that today I pulled the connector off the Bose amp and checked for voltage I found 12 volts there but I do not have ignition or turn on 12 volts at pin 8 on the connector. At least thats where all data says there should be voltage for turn on. I think if I find what's suppose to trigger it for turn on I will find the problem.
