Default Replacing Tail Light Assembly 2005 Audi A4

I have a problem with right side brake lights not working. Have tried to clean the contacts (earth etc.) but still have the same problem. Therefore have decided to replace the bulb holder assembly. However, am unsure how to remove the green connector for the cable harness. Is there a clip on the side or you just pull or ease it out with a screwdriver?

The problem most likely is in the connector and the bulb holder assembly. the ground/earth wires connection inside there gets burned, so either clean both up, or run a jumper wire from the inside of the bulb assembly grount to the wire on the harness right after the connector and your problem will be solved.

P.S. I am not sure how i got it apart, but i just pulled up on the tab/lever and tried to pull out if i recall and it final popped apart. just rememeber to pull the connect apart, the same time as monkeying with the tab.

Good Luck, there is a help think online somewhere showing the method of doing that jumper.

Thanks!

I tried that and replaced the holder, but still cannot get the passenger brake lights to work. Do they have separate fuses?

Can anyone help?
