Easy Entry

Easy Entry
I was confused at the randomness of failure of the "easy entry" feature.
Evidently, my concerns were shared by other members, as I read many discussions on the subject.
Mystery solved.
To review, the easy entry feature lifts the steering wheel out of the way when the engine is shut off, and the door opened. Upon reentering the vehicle, and the car is started, the wheel returns to its programmed position.
However, if you happen to brush against the steering wheel control located on the left side of the steering column, it screws up the memory and the wheel will not lower. It doesn't take much (at least in my car) of a touch to mess things up. In my case I didn't even feel anything as my pants leg ran across the control.
Now, I will avoid commenting on the location or sensitivity of the design, but I have had to find a way of sliding into the seat without letting my legs get close to the steering column.
