96 A4 2.6 auto cranks but wont start
G'day guys, it seems I haven't logged in since 2006, before I sold my last audi.
I just got a 96 a4 cheap.
It had been sitting for 6-12 months. Battery was flat so I jump started it.
Ran fine though the fuel was low and the idle was sitting around 1600rpm, after 3 or so minutes idling it stalled with no warning at all and now wont restart.
Added 5 litres of fresh fuel which bought the gauge to around 1/8.
It still wont start. I have checked all of the fuses and they are good. I disconnected the battery for 1 min and disconnected and re-connected the ecu but no luck at all.
I'm currently away from home and have very limited tools, pliers, screwdrivers and a couple of small spanners.
What things should I be looking for?
When it was running I had the jumper cables still hooked up when it stopped, could this have triggered something to fail?
It has a code on the odo of 'in2' which after looking just seems to be a service code.
Thanks for your help

Just had another look.
When I turn the ignition on the red oil and water temp lights are flashing. If I crank the car for 10 seconds the oil light stops flashing but it beeps and the temp light keeps flashing.
Thinking it could be a CTS problem I pulled the cts out and gave it a clean, re-installed but no difference. That probably doesn't mean anything as it could still be buggered.
