Hey guys, first time post......

My car is an Audi A4 2001 (late 2001). 130bhp tdi

problem(s): When I leave the lights on or the fuel light comes on, I get no warning buzzer (beep) to say that I have either a left lights on or b i'm gonna be walking soon....

It use to work but now doesn;t

only other thing I can see is that I have no parking lights (they are there but not working)
could the parking lights be in the circuit for the buzzer?

Appreciate any help, could not find a fuse for the parking lights and the space ain't great at getting to the lights.

I have very little data on the 1.9 TDi PD but it does sound like a fuse problem and fuse locations is the data I don't have

 

Ok guys, sorry for the long pause between posts but its been a busy couple of weeks.

anyway I have an update: I replaced the Parking light bulbs and when I leave the lights on and open the door with the key out, it doesn't buzz still (not the door as it will not beep when the fuel light comes on either) so that eliminates that problem.
only other thing I can observe is that when I lock the car it doesn't always flash the hazzard lights. (which it used to do)

can anyone tell me if there is a fuse for this buzzer or any other info to try.

 

I feel a VAG coming on, only other thing I can observe is that when I lock the car it doesn't always flash the hazard lights they might need resetting and you need the VAG for that ( alarm/immobiliser issue ) possibly

 

thanks dave for the reply, yeah that seems to be a solution to try, only problem is finding someone in my area (Cork in Ireland) with VAG to do a scan of the car. it might tell me what it going on!
