Please help me how to change brake light bulb
Hello all,
I own a 2003 A4 1.8T. The brake light bulb on the left side is dead and I would like to change it myself. Can someone please let me know how many screws and where it is located to be able to remove to replace the bulb? Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Jon

RE: Please help me how to change brake light bulb
I just changed my rear right light on my 2000 A6. I went thru the storage (left side holds the jack) compartment. If you look in with a flash light you'll see a simply clip and pull mechanism and out come all the bulbs. No screws. Easiest thing in the world. Left side may be different - dunno.

on the b6 a4: open trunk, on the side, covered in carpet, there is a circle about 2 or 3 inches in diameter, pop the carpeted circle with a screw driver, there will be a bolt sticking out - unscrew it, once unscrewed pop out the light starting with the end near the trunk, be very careful not to drop it. once the entire taillight assembly is out unclip the back of it from the lense and that will reveal the bulbs. it takes a few minutes and be very very very careful not to scratch the paint and not to brake the pins - also do not forget to put the bolt back into place!
