So i just bought this a4 (2000 1.8t) and i finally got the radio unlocked but now the issue is the front speakers dont work. I checked the wiring and its all good, which baffled me and made me think maybe it was the HU. I read on a forum somewhere about bose and standard mode making the fronts not work with out an amplifier. There is no bose speakers on this car and the stereo says "bose" when i first turn it on. Could the previous owner put the headunit into a bose mode or something? and if so how do i revert it? thanks
