Default Using excessive oil

Hi. I have resently purchased an Audi A4 1.8turbo 2008 B8 with 118 000 km on the clock. (Tip tronic). On pull off she let's out a puff of white smoke from the exhaust. She uses about 1.5 to 2L of oil every 1000km. No warning lights light up and every thing seems fine. What could the problem be? Please help.

Hi Mohammed, it sounds like it can be a crankcase ventilation control valve issue and also check the PCV hoses to see if any is cracked or leaking. Before doing that make sure that you do not have any oil leaks anywhere else and ensure that they are taking care of. A faulty crankcase ventilation control valve can cause excessive pressure and will either cause the gaskets to leak or the engine to consume more oil than usual.
