Hello I have a problem that I am rather stuck with and really hope that I can get some advice as I've searched high and low wide and far for the info I'm after and while there's random pieces of helpful info I've found it's not enough and I'm at a loss
So here's my problem I'm currently swapping a 1996 a4 b5 2.6 for a 2000 s4 b5 2.7 bi turbo. I know there's hundreds of threads for this but most are banter and not helpful at all. I've picked up the complete engine, wiring loom, all pipe work and ecu cheap and currently overhauling which isn't the problem.
My problem is wiring!! Basically I'm in the UK and the wiring plugs after the ecu that run into the footwell between the two cars are different and apart from the CAN-BUS which I'm not sure I need because I won't be using any of the s4 computers apart from the ecu for the engine. I need to know which wires do what from both sets of engine. I'm thinking that I can just solder the wires in the plenum chamber ecu box? But is this possible? Any help you or any member on here could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Your B5 will need a DBW gas pedal wired in. It's pretty much a self contained wiring harness.

Wiring in ANY 2000 MY B5 engine harness has it's challenges, as the B5 from 1995-1997 have different body connectors. Then from 1997-1999 the harnesses changed yet again, but still had different body plugs. 2000-2001 is when things really became more interesting.

How good are you at reading wiring diagrams? If you could also PM me pictures of the body connectors on your B5 S4 engine harness (white, black, brown, red and orange plugs) I can identify what harness you have, and help you out.
