I have a 02 A6 2.7T 80K in need of a timing belt and I am compiling a list mechanics in the MA / RI area.

So, the price of the TB (w/water pump, thermostat, etc) has been around $1500 . Which, seems rather high for a one day job with $300 in parts.


Anyone, have any good mechanic recommendations in MA/RI?

I have a great mechanic and a good friend if u want to know more about this guy he charges next to nothing and has worked of my VW R32 for a longtime no complaint let me know I will call him and let u know what he charges u.

 

I have sort of the list of the Washington auto repair. this guys are the best workers in the area. You don;t have to hesitate on there job, they good on what they do.

Hey - did you ever find a good mechanic up there? I'm in NY, but head up that way all the time.

I'd be interested in mechanic feedback from folks also. I am thinking of trying the Wagner dealership in Boylston, MA soon for a tune up. I bought the Audi used from a BMW dealer in Norwood, so that won't work for service. I think a dealership is the way to go for now with the car under warranty. I had great service from Colonial VW in Westboro but they don't have the tools and training for Audi. Wagner is building a new Audi dealership in Shrewsbury which I assume will replace the Boylston location and will be really nice when ready...
