Default Retired Audi from daily driving

I've put more money into this 1.8t b6 a4 than it's worth and my transmission just grenadded. I need a
pick up truck anyway and a reliable source of transportation to and from work. I've always wanted to get into rally racing and knew when this car was done instead of selling or I'm going to race it. It's going to need a lot of work but I'm in need of another hobby soon enough anyway. My few questions are is there any guides or resources where I can learn what's needed and where to begin and secondly what is the best route to go with this transmission issue? It's automatic but am willing and rather like swapping to stick. Or can I go full racing and stick a Lenco tranny?

basically I'm mechanically capable having worked on diesel trucks (18 wheelers) and old hot rods with carburetors. Never worked on Audi's until owning one and it's more expensive and some little pain in the butt clearance issues but still just air gas and spark right? Anyway any info or links or ideas would be highly appreciated.

one more thing, what's a good marker place for used parts and such. Specifically interior parts and windows and all that.

What model of pickup truck did you end up buying?
