i just heard that there is a hundred octane fuel pump in brentwood in Los Angeles. Its at a shell gas station. That sounds sooo awesome, gotta try that out sometime.

 

there's a couple in norcal, at 76 stations...but last time i checked it was something like 4.50-5 bucks a gallon...hhmmm, can you say 100 dollar fill-up?

 

oo i heard it was around 3.50 here. it costs 28 bucks to fill my tank up with 91

anyone use those octane boosters, do they acutally work?

 

I swear by them... I use the O-boosters when I hafta gas up with low/er grade petrol. I keep a four pack of "Outlaw" brand in my trunk for such situations (available in justa bout NE auto parts store near you). Started doing this back when I was in Germany with my (turbo) Calibra. Never hadda ping or a knock outta either my Calibra or my Audi and I've used crap as low as 84 O* (in Ohio [:@]), so I figgR it must be doin SUMTHIN... (*actual mileage may vary, void where prohibited, title, tax and license NOT included)

 

i have use this product a few times. works real good. it is rated at 114 octane. never use more than 25% of the total volume in you tank. ie my tank is 14 gal max i could use is aroud 3 gal i have not used more than 1.5 gal. here is the link for a write up toluene

Am I right in thinking that you have to use octane boosters all the time, not just every now and then, as the ecu, gets a bit miffed when yu swap and change? I know the MR2 chaps used to use them for drag days, etc, but they went through a process of resetting ecu, and going for a few hours driving to get the ecu to run best with that fuel?

(I could be horribly wrong!)
