Hello everyone,

I currently drive a 2002 TDI Jetta with more milage than there are citizens in China. I have put in an offer on a 2014 Audi A6 TDI Technik and am waiting to hear back from the seller. On balance, what would be the forum's views on this car? I'd love to hear from actual owners. I note that this car IS affected by Audi's diesel gate emissions scandal. However, because I am buying from a private buyer vs an Audi dealership the transaction CAN proceed. I am confident with regards to my due diligence about this car and simply seek the forum's views. As compared by my mild mannered Jetta...the A6 is large, much heavier, much safer [have two little children] and obviously way, way more luxurious. Naturally, there is a drawback, and in my case its the fact that the A6 costs about 10x more than the going rate for my Jetta.
