Default Need help: Justgot subs and amp for my 04 a6

no one will respond to me in the electronics thread so i hope someone might be able to give me some advice here...

today i just bought 2 12" alpine type e's with a kenwood kac-7203 1000w peak power amp. I have a 2004 Audi a6 2.7t S-Line and i would like to install the subs and amp to my stock bose deck ( i think i have the premium package) My dad has an audio company that doesnt really specialize in car audio but my dad said they will be able to figure it out. Ive heard from many people that its really hard to use this stock bose deck when installing an amp and subs to it. I also am going to get an ipod adapter for my deck to off ebay or something. People have said that in order to use my stock deck with my ipod adapter and amp/subs its going to be a huge pain and im going to need to splice the wires and get some kind of rca adapters/cables. I was wondering if this is going to get too complicated for some decent audio guys to handle, or should i take my subs and amp to circuit city or best buy for a reliable but pricy installation?

i looked it up. there are a couple of good diy's and all you need is a tiny bit of electrical knowledge and a wiring diagram for the bose harness. i did the install for mine but i havent gotten my amp yet. (dhl FTL). the install was painless, but i have all the easy strippers and heatshrinking stuff cause im an EE student. the low to high level converter is like 20 buck on ebay.

edit: it might be high to low not low to high. im not sure. the input is a splice to the existing rear speaker inputs to the bose amp and the output is RCA for your new amp.

hope this helps!
