I went to the Cleveland Auto Show today. Audi had a S4 on display and the badge on the side of the front fenders says "Supercharged" like on a A6. My S4 has the V6T badge. The Audi people working the show had no explanation. Did Audi make this change or could have the S4 been a special show car?

 

If you are talking about the Red S4 at the Cleveland Auto Show, then I have some intel for you.

The car came from Fred Baker, and they swapped the V6T badges for the supercharged badges before the auto show.

They did say that new S4's (not sure after what date) will have the supercharged badge instead of V6T. They also said Audi is adding a piece of trim along along the bottom of the door panel that will match the side mirrors. I haven't seen any pics of this yet.....

I stand corrected......I picked up my 2010 S4 yesterday (4/15/10) from Fred Baker and it did not have the supercharged emblems or the extra chrome trim on the door sills (like they said it would). My sales rep said the Regional Audi rep was the one who told him that all new cars would have these changes....

If/when I see any new S4's with the supercharged emblem and the extra chrome door sill trim, I'll think about having my original parts swapped out.

They also told me that in North America as of April 1st they are sold out of the automatic S4's and there is a 2-4 month waiting list to order one.

Glad I got mine early.

 

Sorry for bringing this topic back up again, but can know for sure if Audi are keeping the V6T badge on the S4 or using the Supercharged badge? And if so, is it only in America or will it be a worldwide change?

 

As I understand it, for 2011 and moving forward the V6T emblem is standard. There is a new accessory package that adds the supercharged emblem and a chrome door sill kicker for $599 plus installation. Just to have the emblem's switched would cost about $150 total.

 

Why, seriously, WHY???? does my S4 say 3.0T ? I just don't get the badging, is it a german thing?

 

I just ordered a '11 S4. the V6T badges are standard issue.

For $125.00 retail you can order the "Supercharged" emblems instead. Which I did.

Didn't really want V6T on the side of my new S4. the Suypercharged emblem includes a Carbon fiber look S car rectangle.

Car won't be here until May.
