Default Long Term Fuel Trim p1139 & p1137

Hello,

Over the past couple weeks, I have had some problems with LTFT with codes p1139 & p1137.

I have seached the forums and came up with little regarding those 2 codes. I cheched for vacuum leaks and didn't find anything significant. The only mods I have on my car are a stupid air filter. Nothing else.

You help is GREATLY appreciated!!! Any suggestions would be fantastic (other than taking it to the dealer).

Thanks!
Chris

So what do you suggest... maybe changing the fuel filter?

canister purge valve mate seems to be a common fault over there perhaps it should be taken up with Audi as a recall issue because of the low octane fuel there, in the UK the lowest is 95 Ron

Mine threw those same codes with a vacuum leak right before the fuel pressure regualor, also could be oil from the K&N or whatever filter you have clogging up the MAF.

The issue for me ended up being the Mass Air Flow sensor... There was also of black carbon build-up on the eliments so I took a few Q-TIPS and carefully cleaned the elements. I sprayed the QTIPS with throttle body cleaner and then carefully cleaned.

The FT codes never returned for obvious reasons.

It was easy to fix... Clean your Mass Air Flow Sensor with Q-Tips and throttle body cleaner. I never got the problem again. The filament on the MAF was completely carbonized...
