okay my car has been running intermittantly in limp mode for about 2 weeks now, i replaced both EGT sensors last feb so it couldnt have been those but anyway i took it to the mech today and had him pull any codes and came up with p0300 and he said it was a misfire code and he said it for sure would cause the car to run in limp mode. he said it could be a number of things, bad plugs, vacuum line, ect. it would cost 85 dollars for them to diagnose it so i was like screw that ill ask here first for places to look. i ran sea foam yesterday through my intake and it didnt cause any other codes so i guess thats good but just restating this has been happening for the past 2 weeks or so with nothing else changing on the car and no CEL's.

haha a poll of a million different options. i dont have a vag, one of those "i shoulda bought one" things. im thinkin coil pack too but the guy didnt say a specific cylinder or anything. my car still runs fine and if it misfires its gotta be so quick to where i dont even notice it. it doesnt always run in limp mode. its weird it used to be full boost until after a couple pulls and then next pull its limp then other times i'd drive for ten minutes or so and the car would be in limp when i would pull and then other times it will be limp right away then be full boost twenty minutes of driving normally later. its really annoying...
