You missed the Buy it now price...($28,000) so his reserve has got to be near there. Still incredibly low.

I looked at other auctions where he was the seller and his Locations are different.

Remember that email address? moldo77@gmail.com?

Well there is a member (from Israel ) with that same screen name.
Look here http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAP...edbackAsSeller

He's obviously logged into someone elses ebay account and set up this fake auction.

I'm reporting it to Ebay security now so check it out

Ok, I've done a little investigating.

If you right-click the main picture in the description and go to the properties it comes up as http://the-new-times.net/pic/tinex.jpg

So I googled just the domain, http://the-new-times.net and it came up on a bunch of fraudulent website lists. See Here

I see these foreigners try to pull this crap all the time on eBay.

I'd like to know what possesses them to think that Americans are as dumb and gullable as they are?

You can't **** a bunch of bullshitters, son!

This scam has been going on for a long time with the internet and Ebay. I have first hand personal knowledge. I was selling my 2001 Audi A6 4.2 on autotrader back in 2003 or so. To make the long story short someone that had pretended to want to buy my car had asked me for pictures a copy of the title (to verify I was the original owner etc.) had taken the info. I gave to them and posed as the owner of my car and put it up for sale on Ebay for a much lower price that what it was worth.

Here's how I found out about this. I got a call one Friday from some guy asking me "so where's the car?" I replied with "are you calling about the car I have for sale?" He kept "asking where's the car?". Needless to say the conversation was very odd to me as this person was irritated. Well it turns out he was the guy who bought my car from the phony ebay seller and wired the full amount to the "supposed seller". He was then given my information as the person to contact to pick up the vehicle. I ended up calling the local police because the guy kept calling me thinking that I had scammed him even though I knew nothing about him or the Ebay scam until all of this unfolded.

He was scammed out of 28K and never got a thing. I talked to the officer about it and he said they discovered the person who pretended to sell my car had money wired to some Romanian Escro account. The guy who got scammed never got his money back.
