I use elf because we are an elf wholesaler where I work. But I have heard from many people (dealer included) that Royal Purple is no good. Don't know why that is though.

 

I've heard and read the same thing, a gimmick is what I've heard it referred to. Again, don't know why.

 

I use royal purple, The diffs that I set up run a consistant 10 degrees cooler than any other oil. I know we are talking motor oil here but you get the picture. Any way on this testing machine I have(it consists of an electric motor spinning a metal dowel that goes through a piece of tube that is atached to a torque wrench) royal purple holds up to over 150 on the torque wrench and mobile 1 stops at 75.

 

I Use Castrol Magnatec 10W40 the same my Audi Dealer use.....
No using of oil and maximum protection...not cheap but hey its an Audi!

I use Castrol Magnatec 10W-40 and I'll change it every 10-12thousand kilometers.
Our dealer in Czech republic uses Shell 5W-40!

 

I use mobile1 0w40, what do you think about this grade.

 

im with 2k i use the amsoil european blend and its awesome when i bought the car it has mobil 1 in it but the amsoil just seems better my oil is never burnt when i change it even after running it at the track.
