Interested in the new S8.
I currently drive a 2004 S4, 6-speed. I bought it brand new over 10 years ago.
I recently got married and my wife wants me to sell it. We went to the Audi dealer and she wanted me to get the A8, its nice; but not really enough pick up for me.
I came across an article: The Audi S8 Plus
I did not realize there was a sportier S8 version out there. I am thinking of trading in my car (it will barely cover the tax on the S8 Plus).
What do you guys/girls think? I haven't driven the S8 Plus; but assume its gonna be more of a beast than the A8.

Just getting around to...did you get the S8? Curiously I was in the market for an S4 in 2007 when I discovered a used 2003 S8 and thought I try it out. Although a bit of a boat compared to the S4, I soon started to enjoy it...and, at the time, you could buy one for about the same as a similar vintage S4. When I finally accumulated 215K miles on that 2003 D2 (360HP 4.2L), I again thought I go a bit smaller...especially was unhappy about the 500 pounds of weight gain between the D2 and the post-2013 D4s. But again, they do not hold their value as well as the S4, so ended up getting a fully-loaded 3 yr old 2015 for $38K (new sticker when sold was $128K). The S8 D4 is QUICK!, and the sport differential makes the car feel much lighter in the twisties than it is. The S8 Plus is not as much faster as the 85 HP difference should make it; it is well know that the original 520HP rating is well under the actual dyno-tested value (APR measures 577 HP and 556 lb-ft for stock). Based upon my experience with both my D2 and D4 S8s, don't believe I'd ever buy new. You can buy them used for real bargains and IME they hoild up great!
