Default TT: Knock Knock.... Me: Whos there?

I feel like my car is playing a joke on me. When I am in first gear or any gear for that matter where there is high torqueI get a knocking noise during acceleration and then immediately during decceleration when I take my foot off the gas. I changed the dogbone bushings thinking they were shot (they were by the way) but that didn't cure the sound. I listened more today and it sounds like its coming from the top of my driver's side strut.. could it be the bushing/bearing there are bad as well?

I thought the dogbone mounts took X-amount of miles to break in. That while they're being broken in they will still be noisy.
I personally haven't installed them, but that's the impression I was under from reading about them. *shrugs*

wierd...no noise here....other than the gear chatter due to the steel flywheel....also would like to know how to rasie the idle as this would cure this as well....heard you can use vag-com but i havnt seen any proof of this.
