Does anyone know of a good performance chip upgrade for the S5? Would love just a tad bit more horespower without spending a bunch of money on exhaust upgrades, etc.
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

General consensus seems to be that you won't an awful lot from a chip alone (actually with today's cars it's a software flash upgrade, not a physical chip change). For example: - Statsis advertises about 6 HP gain from their ECU remapping software - which isn't a lot when you're starting from 352 HP stock. They claim +14 HP if you combine the software and exhaust - see: http://www.stasisengineering.com/sigSeries_s5.php
These cars are very special cars because they are special order, very rare and come with options only found on this particular vehicle. They handle great and look even better. Pick your Audi S5 performance chips today and get the most from your unique ride. Performance Chips Direct provides for you a real option on plug and play modifications. The S5 performance chip install takes between 20-30 minutes and the results are instant. No soldering, no ECU rewiring, nothing. Add your new S5 ECU race chip and feel the new power as soon as you stomp on your gas pedal.
I have the same problem with my S5. Great car but you just feel its got more to give but can't because it's been strangled by Audi to keep the distance with their RS models! I am at a loss what to do outside supercharging or waitng for an RS5. Surely something is possible outside a miserable 6 bhp increase? Claims that remaps can give an extra 50-60 are apparently nonsense according to some reports, so am I wasting my time in even trying?
Im looking for intake and exhaust, and maybe a flash if i think it seems worth it from looking at the dyno results. Any suggestions. I have an 09 S5...

You can always wait for the 2010 S5, with the supercharged V6. Remapping that one is sure to get it into the 400 bhp range.
Until then... short of supercharging the current V8, anything you do will be a waste.
Thanks for confirming that. Problem is I do love V8's and the one on the current S5 is particularly sweet, notwithstanding my gripes about its ultimate performance. So, I guess my best option will be an RS5 when that is officially announced although, perhaps, a second hand R8 V8 might also do the trick!
I live in l'il ol England and I know they're bringing it here! Latest I heard is that it will have 420 bhp which sounds like it's the R8/RS4 engine, but other reports have suggested a lot more than that. I've heard a supercharged V8 is/was on the cards and even the RS6 turbo V10. Whatever they finally decide on, its sure to be quick but I guess in the meantime the S5 still ticks most of the boxes!
