Do some search's, I read somewhere a method to de chrome the plastic parts for better paint adhearance.

If it makes you happy, then i am all for it.

But I can not for the life of me wonder why you would want to put Euro Tags on an American Car (having owned a car in europe while stationed there), its just a license plate, unless you are going for that "I am just back from Europe and have not changed over my plates there fore you want to either "Be Me", or "Sleep with Me", concept.

And you drive an Audi, which is far more impressive than eliminating any branding imho even if some very naive people will think you are driving some sort of ground up custom car.

But i am just an old foggy stoggie... what do I know, Like I said, if it makes you happy, and if its legal and safe, then go for it!

lol if u can mistake a audi for a import, then i wouldn't even talk to a person of that caliber lol.
De chrome plastic lol thats a first.
And the grill only had a euro plate mount so i could of mounted a crapy maryland tag on it and it would of looked like crap or do as i did and mounted the proper plate in its place, and placed mymaryland tag under it.
And its a german car shipped to the states, its not a American car, it just lives in the states now.
I take great pride in my cars no matter what they are, and customizing them is the most fun part, its nice to set yourself apart from the rest. Not sure what your reference to legal is, is blacking out grills illegal lol Fyi i work for the police lol.

And to the little german flag question, i got it off ebay, just search for german flag emblems, or your local euro tuner shop may have some.

hmmmmm, ok. Lets try this.

The reference to "Chrome" was not a literal one, but was an attempt to help you in your quest for "Blacking out" your grill. Sanding the "Reflective" silver off of your grill would lead to a different finish than the rest of your grill due to its texture. Not removing the reflective silver coating would also lead to a different finish. I read a way to remove it chemically, was unable to find my reference, and suggested you attempted a search in order to achieve a cleaner and nicer final product.

The "Legal" reference was an overall statement that I was making to my general disposition to people who mod their cars. Hence; "If it is legal, and it makes you happy, then I am all for it". It was not a direct reference to you or one specific thing you are doing for your car.

You stated the reason you wanted to de-tag you car, was because you had a desire for people to look at your car and say "wonder what the hell that is". so you are infering that you want those people to wonder, but at the same time you consider them someone "you wouldn't even talk to".

P.S. I work on Stealth, and its painted Grey. And no I don't work "for" the police, I work "In" the military.

I never mentioned anything about your German Flag, and my "American Car" (2006 A3) was actually made in Germany too, and then imported to the USA, actually, I think all Audi's are built and imported from one of the following locations:

Germany!
AUDI HUNGARIA MOTOR Kft., Györ, Hungary

quattro GmbH, Neckarsulm

AUDI DO BRASIL E CIA., Curitiba, Brazil

Automobili Lamborghini Holding S.p.A, Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy

AUTOGERMA S.p.A, Verona, Italy

Audi Senna Ltda., Brazil

Regardless, they make different models for different countries as per the legal requirements of those countries, such as governors, license plate mods etc..

And I am glad I brought some humor to your day, at least I assume I did as many times it appeared that you where laughing out loud, so much in fact, you forgot to capitilize, punctuate, indent, space or use paragraphs.

I should be a comedian.

Just be cautious, tinting your side yellow markers will get you pulled by a state trooper, and he will find a way to get you an expensive ticket.

Basically, its against the law, you know, the law, the thing there to protect you, and me, and my kids, and your parents.... rules................

never mind.

that law/rule is such BS! i've been noticing that some cars don't even have yellow side markers, so why would i get pulled over for that?
i'm in Cali by the way.
