Default got my timing belt letter today

Called the dealer to make sure I understand everything... my TT ('03) will have t-belt inspected for free, but I dunno if they will replace it for free if it is wearing out. If there is t-belt failure from now til 105,000 miles, they will replace and repair anything caused by the t-belt failure. They will reimburse anybody who has paid for the t-belt service if they have proof

This is for 00-03, regardless of in service date.

Anybody else get one or have comments?

yeah, they said if you can provide proof, regardless of mileage, they will reimburse

I'm sure it's a bit more complicated than that, but we'll see

my concern is what they will say about a car w/mods (chipped)

what was the original factory warranty length for time/mileage?

i'm pretty sure the SLIGHTEST mods will negate the warranty.

call 'em and ask what they need you to do... I'm sure all dealers are aware of this situation

check the Fourtitude thread to see what we are talking about as far as mods are concerned:
