I've never heard NEthing bad about Alienware. I noticed you went for data integrity/reliability as opposed to HD speed. Was that a deliberate choice or just a guess? Also, no multi-layer DVD burner? I am shocked! I'd'a figgR'd you'd'a at least went for that. Haven't visited Alienware's website in 5-6 months, but that hadda be an option...
whats that running you..like a gazillon dollars..those things are MAD expensive!

i just bought a new laptop and got the faster HDD and DL DVD burner but thats just me. U also may want to bump up ur ram to play the games that are just coming out. Personally i think Alienware is way over prices so i just bought a barbone Asus Z71-V and had ISTNC.com install all the stuff i bought from them in it. Its alot cheaper than the one i configured on alienware. Its also lighter and better battery life. If money wasnt a problem and ur using it for a desktop replacment that shgould be fine.

Heh. I just realized how pathetic my comp is... that LAPTOP has six times the clock speed, four times the memory, and five times the hard drive space of my old full-tower! How sad is that? I'm happy for you though dude...Alienware machines are nice! Use it well!
yeah i took off the DVD burner to get the better HDs.
APG96, why would i need more than a gig of ram, none of the new games coming out even need close to that, BTW, its DDR2 ram so it'll be str8.
I went towards data securtity in the hard drives because my processor speed is so fast i thought that i might as well let my data be secure since im gonna be in college and i dont wanna loose all my shit. But those HDs should write pretty fast.
i said for that games that are just coming out. U dont need it YET. but it will come around. On my new comp i got a gig but left one slot open so i can just buy another 1 gig stick and pop it in.
