IMHO the alienware is overpriced.. way overpriced..
it is pricey, but look at the hardware you are getting. If you look at Dell's gaming notebook the XPS, way over priced and not even that good a system. The alienware system is more, but is so much more performance for your money than dell.

Yeah, they are very expensive, but have a really good reputation...
and yes, I hope all of your classrooms have power outlets everywhere, because that thing needs to be plugged in. I bought my fujitsu because I get 5 hours out of a battery. I bet that thing will get 2... maybe watch a single DVD

yeah i got it about a week ago, i really like it, its mad fast and plays all the PC games that i like to play really smooth, like counter-strike:source. headshook you are right about the batterie life, i am getting less time out of it than you, maybe an hour or less with minimal programs open. i might buy and extra batterie if there are no power outlets at my college and the battrie wont last through class.

alienware's are f'n sweet

my roomate has one, bought it like 3 years ago, dropped about 3k on it and it still is a beast by today's standards.

the only problem that he has is that it overheats, (it also is a laptop), so he has one of those window fans blowing on it all the time.
