Default Strange noise from passenger seat and battery is drained!

Can anyone out there help? I have a 2004 A8L. I have a strange fan/crackling noise coming from the front passenger seat area. The worst part is that it is constant and is draining my battery to almost 0% over several hours. Any ideas? Thanks

To me sounds like it could be one of many things. The air-con seats if equipped could be acting up, the heated seat could be acting up. Or my best guess is it is the power seat function somehow malfunctioning causing it to drain the battery. When using moving around in the power seat it uses quite a bit of electricity, and can easily drain the battery if malfunctioning. Best bet although I hate to say it is the stealer. Unless anyone else can think of somewhere or can do it themselves.

Default I agree

I would pull the fuse for the electrical seats to see if the battery drain is still going on. I don't know what fuse it is. If it is then the front power seats is the cause. From there you need to check all your wiring in the seat to make sure there is no crossing that may be causing the malfunction. Good luck with your search.

Sounds like a short.. Pull the fuse(s) for the power adjustments, seat heat & A/C if you have it. There have been peeps who seats caught fire from bad heater elements in the seat.

why not just disconnect the wiring under it? that way the drivers seat is still OK and the airbag crap will work. Or will that cause a series of MILs
