Default 01 A6 2.7T Shifter Knob Removal

Anyone know how to do this?

My tiptronic is not working I suspect it's either the circuit board or magnets.

Thanks ahead of time!

Put the shifter in 3, release/pull the thumb button, pull the shifter collar down, pull the shift knob off. It is going to take an extreme amount of force

What if there isn't a collar. I will try to take a picture and post it. It's just metal right into the knob.
