Default Transmission judder ?

Hi from a Newbie

I have just bought a A4 Cab. 2004 2.5TDi Multitronic and am concerned that something is awry with the transmission. My concern is over a judder in what feels like the transmission immediately after pulling away from stationary, even at a gentle pace.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Many thanks

Got a warranty?? It could be a lot of things. Can you elaborate on "judder"?

There is a warranty on the vehicle and I will be dropping into the Dealers tomorrow but want to ensure that its not a "feature" of the car. Another way of describing the judder would be shuddering in the drivetrain, but only lasting for abount a second but enough to annoy.

Just to finish off my own thread. The problem was down to the input shaft assembly that also carries the clutch on the CVT. The clutch has been uprated from a six plate to a seven plate. No judder now, just a smooth pullaway.
