It depends on what part of the country your on, california the cars are more expensive and we make more money, i do pretty well.
A4's you can't find for less than 7 grand here. Even 2.8L of all things.

The lowest priced S4's I've seen are $13500 http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/car/444234832.html. If it were me, I would get an S4. Once I'm done paying off my car and save up some money, I will sell it and buy an S4 outright. Accidents suck man, but its great you came out unscathed and no one was seriously injured.
Wow that is a pretty serious crash glad u are ok could have been worse the guy in the charger must have been speeding hydroplaned and lost control.. I have seen alot of s4's selling by private owners for about 12 grand so it shouldnt be to hard to find a car in you price range.. But dealer wise you are going to have to spend more
it had 141k on it, and i kept it in perfect shape, no pixles out, and no random seat tear in the drivers seat.. i take pride in it...
i like to think that i put it in its ritual wear right before it crashed, i had just washed it and waxed it with an interior detail days b4 it crashed, that also helped with the kbb return...
thx for the concern guys, and do me a favor and keep an eye out for a 99.5 1.8t Q 5spd, i'll have both of mine out as well...
Man, before I got the TT, I had pretty much same scenario happen to me. I got 8800 for my last car. I found a couple of S4's with higher mileage. Thing is, I'd already have to be paying a couple grand more for the s4. On top of that, every car needs maintenance, and I hear the s4 is even more expensive than say, my TT. I mean I hear that timing belts can be a $2k job, not sure just read these figures around the forums. S4's are sweet cars, can be super fast, but its all about the $$. I'm not sure on your money situation, it's none of my business. Im just saying be ready to pay. good luck with finding a new ride. Glad you aren't hurt. Damn congrats on killing a new SRT8 though, lol.
