sound like it is a preventative messure being put out by aoa right now, but could be turned into a recall
they are extending your warranty to 10/100 on the ect from service date.... i have like 2 yrs time or 2k miles..... they said if you have an issue and your vin falls under this deal you could get some help from them on cost ocrued
it might just be the awm motor guys that got it

i didn't get anything, yet. and the cheapest i found my replacement oem ect was about $25. Still inexpensive, but I could have wasted that $25 getting drunk!!!
I had to change my ECT and it was fucking stuck so I actually had to take it somewhere and they told me the tube might get broke because it was stuck so bad. Luckily they didn't break the tube but I had a handsome bill to pay.

Yea, I got it too. I think it may have been issued to those who've had work done at the dealership, and in turn, they registered your vin with Audi.
Basically, if you fall under the limits (i.e. 100k miles or 10 years) you can bring it into the dealership and they'll replace it for free. OR, if you've already had it replaced, can provide documentation and a receipt, they'll reimburse you for the repair expense (as long as it doesn't exceed what the dealership would've charged...which is overpriced anyway, so I don't get that!)
