k04 is ~700, gt28r is ~850. tuning is 300 more for the 28r, and you also gotta buy injectors, tip, and a fmic. so there's still like an $1000 difference between them.

you can get away with using your stock clutch (depends on a few factors), as well as not using a fmic with a k04. both aren't ideal, but can work ok. so thats another $1-2k in savings.

The way I look at it the ko4 and pc-16 act as a stepping stone for those who dont want to spend the money on the gt28. With the pc-16 you need turbo, injectors, FPR, Tunning,exhaust and FMIC. When you want to go bigger you've got all the right stuff inline.

you'll need bigger injectors and new tuning. granted you can sell the injectors and tuning for close to the how much the new stuff costs, you might as well buy the gt28r the first time. if your buying enough for a pc-16 k04, its only a couple hundred more for a gt28r.
