The wheels are a Lambo style wheel. I've seen a few cats with GTI's that had them but they were silver. I'm not sure if they come in black or if he had them powder coated. The headlights are probably more simple then you think. Its looks to me that he applied Lamin-X protective film to them. The Lamin-X comes in clear, yellow and smoke and should be available in a pre-cut film.

I think the guy who owns this cra just had a thread recently and may have posted about this headlight mod and grill black out. Try the search function.

I think he or another member opened the headlight using the oven method, and painted the back part...

its not smoked lens but its painted on the inside. i read the thread about how he did it and it looks like a hell of a process. he used petroleum jelly to mask of the chrome but i use liquid latex or liquid mask you can get it at your hobby store. any one know if you can just use chrome paint to fix where you f-ed up? or will that fry your bulbs?

I remember reading the thread about that car a couple of weeks back. The wheels are supposed to be the genuine Lambo wheels at 5k. No wonder the car costs so much.

 

This car is awsome.The pearl white is beautiful on the 4.2. I actually have seen this guy on myspace. He has a few videos up of the car. With the manual tranny, the car sounds amazing. YOU NEED TO HEAR IT!
