Front CV axle hub 12 point nut or souldered bolt?? Please HELP!!
I am getting started on replacing both front CV axles on my 2001 Audi TT Quarttro and the replacement shafts have a shouldered hub bolt and my old shafts have a 12 point nut. All in all they look identical, can I use the new shafts with bolt in place of the old version with 12 point nut? Please someone help as I am really needing to get this thing back on the ground! Thanks

Probably a little late but first double check you got the right shafts. If so, it's just a different design and you'll be fine. Most Audi's use a bolt instead of a nut originally. Since a TT is more or less a Beetle chassis, they use VW style.

Lowering struts and springs
I recently bought the H&S lowering struts and springs to replace my factory ones on my R8. Even with the ride control button in the center console it did not have good handling in corners.... (a 10,000 dollar curb check proved that).
I installed the H&S did 1.25 in drop rear closed dampers fully to prevent rocking on hard shift. lowered front .75 with damper one 1 click..... great ride handling now......However, I am stuck with a light on, on the dash for the ride control. Is there a bypass. Audi dealership did not know how to turn off.
Secondly I am trying to upgrade all my front bushing while I have the front end apart does anyone know where to get all the front suspension bushing?
