Default Look for a personnal Diagnostic Tool

Hello there,

I am looking for a diagnostic tool solution (VAG) for my 2012 Audi A3 TDI.

I wish to read and clear DTC codes (check engine), Read data stream, vehicle information, Oxygen testing, Performance Testing and other pratical informations.

Ideally, I'd like to read information on an iPad or iPhone.

What do you think about iobd 2 scanner ? iOBD2 XTOOL Scanner-iPhone OBD2

Do you have any other solution? I don't want a professional scanner (like Ross-Tech). It's for personnal use.

Thanks,

FourCircle

I can suggest our Android app, Carista, which does a lot more than any other app out there: it accesses VAG-specific ECUs. All other apps just access OBD2. We don't have an iPhone/iPad version yet, but we're starting to build one now. If you have an Android tablet or phone, give Carista a try.

Plus, it's way cheaper than the laptop-based competion: our app is just $19.99 (and the generic hardware that you need for it costs about $10).

Also, you can do coding: change comfort and other features of your car, all included in the price.

Vagcom IS for personal use. Don't skimp on diagnostic tools, the ones your looking for are so limited and in fact, they will not read all existing codes. I know from personal experience I have both.
