FS: 2002 Audi S6
asking $3,000
location: Boston, MA
NOTE the reason for a low price: the car runs, though the transmission started slipping recently. This would be a good project car to install a manual transmission or parts car. I would have kept it, however, I am moving to Europe soon.
Other than the transmission the car is in great shape: nothing is leaking and the engine has been refurbished only 56k miles ago by Audi, the engine does not consume oil, all highway mileage, has been kept inside. The car has been taken good care of - I have all the records. As soon as any issues came up they were fixed either at an official Audi shop or at a professional Audi-specialized shop.
- the car passed a through inspection in May 2011 (cost for that inspection was ~$1500) in order to qualify for an aftermarket 5-year warranty. (records available)
- complete service records available
- 56k miles on a refurbished engine (265k miles total)
- despite the mileage, the car was in better condition than any Audi of similar age I had a chance to test drive, including several A6s which had fewer than 100k miles on them.
- clean title
- this is a very rare car, only 1200 have been imported into North America (including both 2002 and 2003 production years)
- this is sporty/luxury version of the A6 Avant V-8 engine 340hp. Differences listed here: leather heated seats (both front and rear), side airbags, xenon head lights, heated mirrors, auto-dimming mirrors, automatic tiptronic transmission (with hill detection and auto-adjusting to your driving style), ESP (electronic stability program), all-aluminum sport suspension (shocks with 40% increased compression damping, 30% stiffer spring rate, larger diameter stabilizer bar, lowered 20mm), power everything, tilt- and telescopic- wheel with automatic tilt-away for easy entry, tiptronic and volume controls on the wheel, folding mirrors, ski-sack, high performance breaks, aluminum body front, Alcantra interior, premium sound system with subwoofer, OnStar ready.
