How do I get tires flush with fenders
Hi all
Just got my precious S4 last month and the time to mod and personalize her has come. I plan to get some new wheels and tires first. I have no intention of lowering her. I looked on several forums and googled a bit and found that the jury is still out on the use of wheel spacers. Seems to be a lot of opinion on the pros and cons but no hard evidence. Having just dropped 20k I am hesitant to put on anything that might harm my car. This leaves me with just the wheels option. When I get new wheels do I just go from a 8 wide to a 8.5 or 9? To flush things up? Will going to a wider wheel do anything negative?

If you're planning on new wheels, talk to a shop that REALLY knows their job. You could most likely fit a 9 inch wheel in there and get them flush without spacers, but it all depends on the offset. I don't know the numbers, but a knowledgable wheel shop could tell you. Just don't try to stagger the back wheels. With quattro, the wheels and tires need to stay the say size.
