Default 30 minutes of rambling

Hello all i have been a learker for about 2 months now and decided that i should share my story with you guys. So it all started on October 11th 2008 when i finally decided that i can't takemy mazda portege' 5's inability to get out of its own way any longer. So i hop on the computer and start looking at cars. Dodge Magnums, chargers, Pontiac G6, Subaru WRX, Civic Si, VW GTI, VW R32 ok so now i have start i know some of the cars to look at so i head out and go to some dealerships and test drive a pontiac G6 it felt ok but interior was to bland next 05 R/T Dodge magnum. Drove nice was decently quick but the Gas mileage and the interior were not up to par. Ok so now what a subaru WRX...Nope felt light a matchbox car. Ok so on to the mitsubishi car lot i explain that i have already test frove these cars and he says ive got the perfect car for you. So about ten minutes later he pulls up in this luxury car. I think to myself ok it looks nice but i need something fast. Screw it i'll test drive it. I hop in and what is this leather seats ive never had these before bose stereo wow pretty nice for Stock and wow its a six speed. So i take off and it feels solid and i notice this little S4 badge on the steering whell huh maybe sport. I head to the nearest onramp and mash the throttle and holy shiz where is this power coming from the car salemen tells me its Twin turboed and i'm liek what in a luxury car. So anywho i rape the hell out it on the freeway take it back and tell him i still need to look around. He says why don't you Take one of our chargers out So i take it out and am very dissapointed in its boat like feel. I return and say lets run some numbers. I then realize that since its a 2001 i will get crappy rates but am so stoked on the car that i say screw it and buy it anyways. Life is good rollin in My audi thinking german cars rock. 14 days pass and i get a check engine light. I'm pisses i just bought this and its already broke so i talk to my buddy and he asks if i just put gas in it. I tell him yeah so we retighted my gas cap and disconnect the battery to clear the code. Sweet that was easy...3 days later 2 days after my dealership mandatory warranty expires its back so i go to autozone and get the code pulled and its says something about a boost leak and clutch switch being bad. So i replace all the vacuum lines and then google the clutch switch and find this site cool lots of info i then read all the problems with these cars and my heart sinks what the hell did i get myself into i'm not a rich man not to mention i have to do everything in the drivway since i don't have a garage. So i take it to the dealer and somehow i convince them to let me trade it back for a new non evo lancer i take it for a test drive and am devastated it was horrrible. So i decide to keep it and now am in a constant state of paranoia and loving every minute of it. Phew that was alot of typing. P.S. already put an exaust on it and did the AWE boost Guage. And on a side note if you bash me remember fighting on a forum is like racing in the special olypics even if you win your still retarded.

Thats alot of text!

Welcome to AF! Everyone has a love-hate repationship with their S4, that paranoia is the first symptom of being an S4 owner so dont expect it to go away Lol. I hope you cleared up that boost leak! Theyre rewarding cars to drive but they were $40,000 new and are still $40,000 cars to maintain. If you can do the work yourself you can save ALOT of money.

You might like this one....

Audis are like strippers, they only work wen you throw money at them.

.... Just to continue on, hate love is the best way to put it, I tell everyone that when they ask me what I think of my or how it is. You really have to hold in there and just get past those rough spots, our cars need patience. And of course the rewards are boundless. Oh and get yourself a x-mas present of a chip, then you will really see.

Thanks and yes i got the boost leak fixed. Apparently whoever changed the vacuum lines before i got it never heard of hose clamps. But then it came on again the clutch switch at the very back went out. Still waiting for the dealership to get it in. But then the little volcano on the dash popped up and so i added windshield fluid to soon after find a huge puddle under the car. O well i'm just trying to take care of maintenance and the pervious problems. and i got it for 14,000 it has 74XXX miles on it was bone stock and is in mint condition. All maintenace records were included and look nice. Also the red cluster in the middle of the guages was replaced due to factory defect i know that is an issue alot of people on here have. Also i got the tranny fluid changed its a standard and the guy put in royal purple which now makes it a royal pain in the a$$ to shift can anyone recommend something different he says he will change it for free minus oil to fix it. Thanks o yeah and its silver.

hey man, glad to have you. and i like your fighting online ideal, pointless. why waste the time typing up some stupid little rant when you could just as easily ignore it. and by the way HP knows just about everything so head his word. haha
