We have a 1992 100s and periodically get a pair of small green arrows lit on the dash, one pointing left and one pointing right, with the number "1" in between them. What does this signify???

The passenger's seat is electric and will not lower - all other functions work fine. Is it likely the seat motor for the lowering finction? Is it possible that it is somehow "off track" or simply "stuck?" Can we simply remove the seat and look arouind or is there more sophisticated testing to be done?

The knob that switches the internal air functions (defrost, foot area, dash area, both lower and dash, etc.) is not functioning - the system is "stuck" on defrost. Do we sart by pulling the dash apart or is this useless?
