Default General Maintanence Questions

I am a fairly new Audi owner. I bought a 2000 A4 1.8T Quattro 3 months ago. I got an oil change at Valvoline yesterday and they said I needed to put some kind of synthetic oil in it. Plus they said they didn't have the correct anti freeze or power steering fluid for it. Should I just bring it to an Audi dealership from now on? And is what he told me correct?

What they told you is correct the audi's do use a specail anti-freeze and power steering fluid if you were to mix in the incorrect fluids id would damage and potentaily destroy your engine. If they don't have these things i suppose that they don't have diagnostics either which is esental when working on audi's for a quality service other wise things can be missed.

You should use synthetic engine oil that meets ACEA A3 or A5.

I went to the VW/Audi store and purchased my stuff and then I went to Firestone to have it changed. The guy at the Audi place told me I would come out cheaper doing it this way.
