hi everyone

I have a audi a4 tdi 1.9l (1997). The car was missfiring and had lost a lot of power. I was told that this may be the egr valve's fault. I blanked the egr valve completely and now the car is fine but it is louder than usual and a bit shaky when idling. Do you think this is due to the fact that the valve is blanked or may there be some other fault. Would really appreciate your help.

Did you use VAG-COM to see if the EGR valve was bad?
